I used a full 100g DK skein of Polka Dot Creek self striping and 2-20g dk mini skeins to knit BOTH the cowl and mittens.

You can make your cowl customizeable by knitting with a bigger needle to make it looser if you don’t like a tight-ish fitting cowl. You can also continue knitting in pattern to make it longer.

Cowl: 50g skein of main color and 1-20g mini skein-DK Weight. You can also hold fingering double or a strand of mohair to make it cozy!

You could get 2 cowls knit out of one of our DK self striping or speckled sock sets. I chose to make matching mittens from the Tin Can Knits pattern- World’s Simplest mittens.
