This scarf took all of one skein (I had about 5 inches of yarn left). I would use two skeins because then the I-cord fringe could be beefier and longer. This is technically a lace stitch but I think it looks like macrame, too. Very fun to knit in a varigated yarn.

I think this pattern would look wonderful in any hand spun single ply.
