Magazine directions are for sweater knit in one piece by knitting back and forth on circular needles. Sample sweater (and original directions) had sweater knit circularly, using steeks.

This Cardigan was inspired by the earth mud cloth of Mali. A 25 stitch decorative panel centered on both front and back gives the cardigan an asymmetrical look, creating a wide button band worked as one with the garment body. Charts for single repeats of all 5 patterns used are provided in magazine. Please note that the numbering for Charts 2 and 3 are reversed. Chart 3 should be worked first as the lower border above the garter stitch edging. Chart 2 is worked up the center front and back above the border and charts 4 and 5 represent body and sleeve patterns.

4 buttons, 2 small snaps, stitch markers and stitch holders are also required.

Designed for Classic Elite and Woman’s Day.
