Upon the Dr.’s graduation from medical school in 2005, we moved to West Palm Beach so that he could attend a general surgery residency program. Known for having one of our country’s highest per-capita income rates, this city was our home for 3 years and the people sport an intriguing mix of beach style and haute couture. Worked in an unbelievably luxurious organic cotton and bamboo blend yarn, this ethereal cardi would be equally at home worn on the beach or for an afternoon of shopping in some of Worth Avenue’s most exclusive boutiques.

33 (36, 37, 38½, 39, 40)“ bust; shown in 33 inch bust. Note: This fabric is extremely stretchy; the weight of the sleeves will pull the fabric downwards off the shoulder, creating a drop sleeve effect as seen in the photos.

  • The Unique Sheep Green Sheep Cotton Bamboo (51% combed organic cotton, 49% bamboo rayon; 440yd 400 m/100g): Raspberry Vanilla, 2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins

Gauge
20 sts/31 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on larger needles

Looking for a larger size range? Worked at a gauge of 17 sts/27 rows to 4 inches, the sizing will expand to 38 (42, 43.2, 45, 46, 47) inches. Keep in mind that the fabric will be stretchy and does expand when worn.
