Woven Together uses a simple stitch pattern and a tiny bit of scrap yarn to create interesting yet meditative-to-knit fingerless mitts. They are great for those with cold hands as they allow the fingers to move freely while staying put warming the wrist. And they’re also perfect for in-between seasons when mittens are too much. but there’s still a cold breeze trying to snake inside your coat sleeves.

Materials:
• Yarn: MC: 1 skein of Suoma Single (100% Finnsheep wool, 205 m / 224 yds per 50g). Or approx. 102 (123) m / 112 (134) yds of fingering weight yarn.
CC: A few meters / yards of scrap yarn
• Needles: 3 mm / US 2.5 (circular needle or dpns, depending on your preferred knitting style)
• Optional stitch marker for BOR

The sample was knit using Pom Pom Suoma Single in Vispi and a different scrap yarn for each mitt.

Gauge:
22 sts x 44 rnds = 10 cm / 4” in Woven Pattern in the round, after blocking.

Size:
1 (2)
Wrist circumference: 7.25 (8.75)” / 18 (22) cm.
Length: 7.25 (7.25)” / 18 (18) cm.

Notes:
The mitts are worked from bottom up. You can use one or as many pieces of scrap yarn as you wish for CC. The sample pair used two different CC yarns, one in each mitt.

You are always working with just one color. On the CC rnds, you simply slip the knit MC sts. There is no need to cut CC after the CC rounds if working with just one CC yarn.
