Wraith is a pi shawl that features some of my favourite lace and cable motifs that I have developed over the years. Knit in luxurious mohair and silk, this shawl is delightfully ethereal, like a wispy cloud drifted to earth, a wandering apparition, a spectre, a wraith.

Yarn:
You will need approximately 1500 metres / 8 balls of Rowan Kidsilk Haze.
My shawl is knit in a luxurious mohair and silk yarn, but this design could be knit in any laceweight yarn, although due to gauge differences you may require additional skeins.
A word of warning if you are knitting with mohair for the first time - it can be difficult to undo if you have made a mistake, or at least, once you have undone your knitting that yarn is no longer re-usable because it tangles very easily.

Gauge
The repeat worked in chart B measures approximately 7cm once blocked.

Recommended Needles
You will need 3.5 mm (US 4) and 4mm (US 6) DPNs for the cast on.
I knit the main body of the shawl with a 4mm 100 cm long circular needle with a magic loop, but you could also progress through 60cm, 80cm to a 100cm circular needle if you wish.

You may use any circular cast on you wish. Tin can knits have a good pictorial demonstration here: https://blog.tincanknits.com/2012/05/25/pinhole-cast-on-tutorial/
