Andrea says “Newfoundland and Labrador weather can be windy and wild. Wreckhouse is a real place in the southweatern corner of our island. The name originated in the old days when high winds sometimes blew the cars of the Newfoundland Railway right off the track!. .. Wreckhouse Wristers are knit in the round with attractive shaping at the wrist. A thumb gusset, slightly offset, makes purling back in colours unnecessary. The Diamond pattern is traditional to Newfoundland knitting.”
