Designed for the YarnOver Truck Fandom club this cowlette was inspired by the villain Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove. Yzma sports some over-the-top elaborate neckwear in the film and it is ALWAYS in purple. Of course you can use whatever color fits your nefarious plans.

While it might look like this pattern is full of cables, there aren’t any! The illusion of cables is created through devious use of both crossed elongated stitches and passover cinched stitches, but there’s not an actual cable in sight.

Knitting begins worked flat and then is joined to knit in the round to create the voluminous cowlette shape that drapes beautifully along the neck.

Finished Measurements:
26” (66 cm) neck circ.
42.5” (108 cm) hem circ.
26” (66 cm) front height
17.25” (64 cm) back height

Pattern can be worked entirely from written instructions or in conjunction with charts.
