Summer 2014 Lace-a-Long

I find that the best knitting for the Summer is lace, so we are having a Lace knit-a-long in the Barbara Benson Group this Summer.

We are using April to plot and plan and then the -a long will begin on May 15th and run for the summer. Any of my patterns that have lace in them are eligible for participation.

Please come and join the fun!

My work focuses on creating detailed and beautiful accessory patterns. I love a small project because it means I can conceivably get it done within a month or two, instant gratification on a knitting timeline. Also, I despise weaving in ends. If I can get away with only one or two skeins of yarn then I have fewer ends to weave in.

I tend to explore slightly unorthodox elements in knitting; be it shaping, color combinations or unusual themes. I try to keep things fun but also make sure that the fun doesn’t get in the way of the knitter ending up with a finished object that they love.

If you like my designs and would like to chat with like-minded individuals (or me) (or if you are just feeling chatty) please feel free to drop by the Barbara Benson Designs group.

If you are considering purchasing one of my patterns, you can see a sample of what the pattern will look like below. All of my patterns are fully tested and edited. If you find any problems or need any assistance, please do not hesitate to send me a message.

Additionally, I have had reports of a few PDF readers not properly displaying one of the fonts I use. All fonts are embedded but I have not been able to come up with solutions quickly enough to keep up with the introduction of new reader formats. If you run into difficulties please contact me and I will be happy to work with you to find a solution that works for you.
