xenolith: noun, a fragment of a rock included in another rock.

This slouchy beanie uses a set of mini skeins to create bands of stranded colorwork in which each color becomes part of the next motif. Use a gradient set or bright contrasting colors to create an infinite number of color combinations and looks.

Yarn requirements:
Main color: approximately 75 (95, 145, 165) yds./69 (87, 133, 151) m
Contrast colors: approximately 10 (11, 12, 13) yds./9 (10, 11, 12) m each of five colors

The pattern includes notes on determining the order of your colors for maximum contrast and on color dominance. The stranded pattern is charted only.
