This was a quick and easy knit. Good for little girls, and anyone else who doesn’t like their ponytail squashed inside their hat. You can, of course, knit the hat without the hole, just ignore the special instructions and repeat rows 1-16 twice before beginning the decrease rows.

Note on gauge: I am a very loose knitter, so please check your gauge; I’d recommend a 10 or 10.5 for average knitters.
