A very textured keyhole scarf using only 2 stitches. It is approximately 44” long and 5” wide. It is worked side to side, so you start with the length of the scarf. It can easily be lengthened or shortened, by changing the starting chain number. Although I used Red Heart (a worsted weight), this pattern looks very nice in many yarn weights. Use a finer yarn and a larger hook to get a lacier effect, or a thicker yarn with a comparable hook to get a bulkier look.

Gauge is not too important since it is not fitted.

Materials needed include 5-6 oz (250-300 yds) worsted weight yarn, H/8/5.00mm hook, blunt-end needle.

Written in US terminology.

Beginner to Advanced-Beginner level: very straight-forward, with only 2 stitches, but one stitch is not your typical basic stitch (explained in the pattern)

A very big thank you to my testers: knit-frog-knit and Carleta3021!
