This adorable snug-fitting garment can be used either as an undershirt or as a light sweater for that little bit of extra warmth.

Nov. 2010: The sample was knit using Lana Gatto Mignon, a very fine 100% washable and dry-able wool - unfortunately now discontinued. Elann’s Peruvian Baby Silk (an alpaca / silk blend) works to the same gauge on 2mm / US0 needles - although this yarn is hand-wash.

A lighthouse, sun, moon, spider web, sailboat, butterfly, dragonfly or peace symbol — your choices for the shoulder motifs on this soft and cozy undershirt/ sweater that’s just the ticket for spring, fall and winter. Tiny cables finish the sleeves and front edges. Closures are ribbon ties.

One-piece construction: Knit in one piece from back hem to front hem, only the side and underarm seams will need to be sewn.
