Don’t let those fierce teeth fool you—even yetis have their soft sides! Yeti for Bed prepares for bedtime in red jammies and bunny slippers. The yeti’s body is knitted in one piece in the round, with arms added on held stitches. The head is also knitted in the round and sewn to the body. Embroidery details add charm to this cuddly fellow.

Yarn Plymouth Yarn Homestead (100% wool): #0010 red (MC), 2 skeins; #0001 natural (CC1), #0006 oatmeal heather (CC2), and #0023 dusty blue (CC3), 1 skein each.

Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm): 16” circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers; stitch holders; tapestry needle; embroidery needle; 2 skeins black embroidery floss; 1 skein white embroidery floss; small amount of pink embroidery floss; two 1 3/8” white buttons for eyes (shown here: La Mode #48186; see Notes); two 7/8” black buttons for eyes (shown here: La Mode #20731); seven 5/8” buttons (shown here: La Mode #761); size G/6 (4 mm) or H/8 (5 mm) crochet hook (optional); polyester fiberfill; quilter’s pins; 6” wide piece of cardboard; small amount of hot melt glue tape, hot glue, or superglue (optional).
