From the pattern:
Nicky Epstein is a master knitwear designer with a penchant for originality, especially when it involves embellishment. For this colorful mohair and wool cape, she melded stripes, embroidery, an I-cord frog closure, plus her latest innovation, knitted “yo-yos,” or disks made by gathering the cast-on and bind-off rows of short knitted rectangles. Make the cape in a size small and wear it so that it opens at the side (as shown) or make it larger and wear it so that it opens in the front.
