A Moebius is knit in the round with a twist, but no seams and can be worn as a cowl or a stole. It all begins with a special cast-on (invented by Cat Bordhi - you will be directed to a YouTube video, where she explains the cast-on). This Moebius continues with a pattern of your choice. For example, how about a yarn-over-and-drop-stitch pattern? You will be knitting a mile a minute! The result is a soft, lacy and delicate fabric.

This pattern is suitable for beginners, because there’s a choice of four different stitch patterns. You can look at pictures of them all and read the instructions. Which one do you like best? Which would you be most comfortable with? You decide.

One mandatory requirement is a circular needle with a cable that is at least 47 inches long. Approximately 200 yards of the suggested yarn will be needed. You can also use scrap yarns for a striped version, and change colors as you please.

This pattern has been tweaked to perfection during a class about the Moebius cast-on at Blazing Needles in Salt Lake City.
