The Yolande lacy tunic oozes 1970s fashion appeal with its long lean lines and tie belt. The tunic sweater can be knitted with Victorian-style leg’o’mutton sleeves, or with ribbed armhole welts if you prefer a sleeveless option.

The lace border is based on a real Victorian knitting pattern and turns an otherwise simple tunic sweater into a charming evocation of all that was great about 1970s fashion. The lace pattern is repeated in the center front panel of the tunic to add extra interest.

The sweater fastens in the back with three buttons.
The sleeveless tunic can be worn over a long sleeved blouse for even more 1970s fashion styling.

The bonus hat pattern has an “Abba”-esque look to it. The design of the hat echoes the tunic’s lacy border and it has a charm all of its own with its cute little “stalk” at the top of the crown. The hat is knitted using the short rows technique, with the crown worked in simple garter stitch.

Your 18” doll will love the Yolande Lacy Tunic and Hat and she will be a real dancing queen, grooving along to all those wonderful songs of the 1970s.
