“York” is a stranded color-work hat with a twisted rib. Each hat is knitted using a total of four colors…one of them a pop of bright neon pink! The hats pictured above have different background colors but ALL have the same contrasting colors. This is an example of how one modification to a color palate can change your perspective. The yarn is Big Bad Wool weepaca which is available in a wide variety of tints, tones, and shades!

The above hats each use one skein of the main color, and all three hats can be knitted with a single skein of each contrasting color.

“York” is also a small town in western Alabama founded in 1838.

Yarn:
Big Bad Wool weepaca or other light worsted/ DK weight yarn in a total of 4 colors
Main color approximately 85 yards; pictured in olive ewe, raw white, and metal man
3 additional contrasting colors colors as follows: CC1: 44 yards; CC2: 12 yards; & CC3: 10 yards ; pictured in mustard, koi, and tula;
