York Shawlette
This is an advanced beginning shawl pattern, worked from the top down. Once the pattern is established you only need to repeat two rows until you get to the simple edging, made mainly of chain stitches & single crochets.
It’s very easy to adjust the size either by adjust yarn weights or hook sizes, simply by repeating more or less times.
I designed the shawl for self-striping yarns, but it will look equally good in a solid, tweeds, or your leftover yarn as well.
Pattern has been rewritten & clarified August 14, 2011. Please download the new version if you downloaded before this date.
