From Pattern Description:
This hat is worked in the round from the lower crown to center top. The bird is worked separately (shaped with short rows), then sewn to the hat top.

In the book, they used colors #02 black, #21 blue, and #59 sienna.

The pattern calls for both a 16” circular needle and a set of 4 or 5 dpns in size US 5 (3.75mm)
