You Are a Poem Balaclava is made entirely in Granny stripe stitch. Modifications included: Color Block version and folded over ribbing with tie. Detailed color photo instructions for more advanced techniques . Worked mostly in one piece. Very little seaming.

-Work short rows
-Crochet join as you go ribbing
-Crochet i-cord

Finished Size:
Width- 11”
Length- 14”
Face opening length wise (flat)- 10”

Materials:
Knit Picks Worsted Weight Wool of the Andes or Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino, Approximately 220 yards or 130 yards in two colors for the color block version. 4.5mm hook for main + 4.25mm hook for ribbing.

Gauge:
5 clusters and 8 rows in granny stripe stitch= 4”
