There’s Young Wilf for a start with his sailor suit and knitted sand castle, bucket and spade. You can tell how much he loves to be beside the seaside. Wilf is accompanied by Colin, The Red Nose Cockle and Captain, The Red Nose Crab - little design gems in their own right.

Measurement: The basic figure measures 39-40cm (15.5-16in) from soles of the shoes to top of the hat.

Yarn requirements: 50g (1.75oz) of blue, 40g (1.5oz) of white, 30g (1oz) of light pink, light green, green, red and royal blue, 20g (.75oz) of yellow, orange, gold, and fawn; oddments of black, light yellow, light blue, cream, and shocking pink.

Stuffing: You will need 450g (16oz) of stuffing

Plastic drinking straws required: six 5mm (.25in) diameter and one 3mm (.125in) diameter
