This is my first pattern, so if there are any changes you think should be made or any issues with the pattern please let me know! I’m excited to see your colour/fibre choices!

UPDATEIMPORTANT***
I think that I may have gotten the length of the circulars wrong! I used 24” circulars, and in the pattern I said 16”! If anyone has already cast on I’m very very sorry! I think 16” would also work though, as it’s a shorter cable, so I’ll test that out. For now, I’ll leave the pattern, until I know more. But, for the record, until part way through the decreases where you change to the DPNs, a 24” cable will also work!

Description:
This is a comfortable, light hat designed for either men or women. It is best worn in moderate temperatures, as it is made with a lighter yarn. It encourages the knitter to experiments with colours and textures of yarn, using three different fibre contents of roughly, but not necessarily exactly DK weight. Because the yarns are not necessarily of exactly the same weight, the gauge is very roughly estimated. In order to get a hat that works for you, it is recommended that you do a gauge swatch in the yarns you will be using, and if this seems to be unfit to be a hat, work in a different size needle.
The hat was designed to fit a man’s head snugly, but will also work as a slightly looser hat for a woman. It is a great stash busting project, as it uses small amounts of wool. It is also encouraged to use more than the three colours suggested and experiment with different combinations!
