This ethnographic mitten from the District of Zemgale, Latvia uses a series of bands of which one band uses five colors with four colors knit concurrently. Additionally, there are six half braids with different combinations of colors using two colors per half braid in bands on the cuff. Embroidered stitching in two of the white bands further decorate this mitten. The upper half of the mitten is knit in white or undyed yarn.
