前門| ZENMON : Japanese (Romaji) for (n) front gate.

Japanese temple gates provide the design inspiration for this seamless wrap. The isosceles trapezium of the body of the shawl represents the perspective of tall gates, whilst the mitred ribbed edging frames three sides of this stunning piece. Perfect for wrapping around your shoulders as a shawl or pinning close to your neck for cosy warmth.

Construction Notes
Shawl begins with a provisional cast on. It is worked flat lengthwise with short row shaping to create the isosceles trapezium shape. Stitches are picked up along the narrow end and both long sides of the shawl to work 3 sides with 2x2 Rib edging to finish.
