Love. Happiness. Strength. Balance. Adventure. Friendship. Let your knitting communicate your wishes in a special way for yourself, or as a message to a friend or loved one with beautiful Chinese characters (hanzi). This stole features lace mesh to create each of your selected characters. Borders between the characters are Trigrams (yin and yang of Tao) which are worked in your choice of clusters of stitches, nupps, or by adding beads to your knitting. (There are a total of 12 symbols.)

Beads needed - 381 or 762 depending on Trigram(s) selected- to contrast with yarn.

You should be able to use 880 yds of yarn if you do not include nupps with more yarn needed to work the clustered stitches.

Model in Dandelion Gloss Lace by Knit Picks - 7’2” long by 18” wide.

NOTE:
There are optional motifs in some of the charts. I used spare beads on some of these motifs.
