New mittens for a new winter season! It’s starting to get a bit chilly as I ride my bike in the mornings, so these lightweight mittens will be perfect for the fall bike commute. These are worked up with DK weight yarn in a superwash wool, and I’ve added a contrasting colour that weaves in and out of the main mitten colour.

Yarn: I used 1 skein of Berroco Vintage DK in col. 2194, and a small amount of contrast colour (used here, Deborah Norville Everyday Soft Worsted in mustard).
Gauge: 24 sts x 28 rows in 4”
Needle Size: 3.5 double-pointed needles

Note: For the contrasting colour I used a bit thicker yarn, so you can use anything from a DK to a light worsted weight.
