Ziggy is an adorable pug who lives with my friend here in Edinburgh Scotland. His cheery little face always makes me smile. I designed this cosy scarf for her to wear when she is out walking him on the cold Scottish mornings.

To make the Ziggy scarf , you will need an electronic standard gauge machine. I knitted this one on a Knitmaster 560

skills you need to make this scarf are ;

1/casting on ,
2/ knitting a single motif fairsle design ,
3/ casting off.
4/ After it is knitted , you have to sew it up a straight edge, and finish with a simple blanket stitch.

I used 6 balls of patons baby smiles 4ply acrylic yarn in the base colour , and used a contrast black for the motif. You could use any suitable 4ply yarn , as its a scarf and doesnt have specific sizing. You will only need a little of the black , less than one ball.
