Stay cool with Zinone. This casual summer top features a variety of options. You can choose between a partial-lace back or a full-lace back, and you can choose between a cropped length or a full, hip length. All of the options are easily interchangeable, so you can make the summer top of your dreams. The smallest sizes are a classic drop-shoulder, while the largest sizes feature a modified drop to provide the same look across the size range.

Simply start with the upper back of your choice, and the pattern will guide you from there. After the upper back is completed, the fronts are picked up from the upper back’s cast-on edge and knit down. The body is joined in the round after the underarms, and the rest of the body is knit with some shaping. At the bottom of the waist, you can decide between adding a ribbed edging and binding off for the cropped length or adding hip shaping and more stockinette for the full length. The neckline is finished with a simple i-cord bind-off for a clean look.

Zinone was designed with a 100% linen, fingering weight yarn that has a classic multi-ply construction. Fingering weight blends with a high percentage of linen or cotton will make the best substitution while staying nice and breezy! If you don’t enjoy knitting with plant fibers and want to use another fiber, make sure your chosen yarn drapes well.

The pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the lace pattern.
