This little wallet makes a great gift and knits up really fast. I always liked the wallets I could attach to my keychain, so I thought I would make up a pattern for one. I put up a picture with a flower and also one without it, so that finishing detail is up to you to decide.

Wallet panel (make 2)
CO 30 stitches
Row 1: K,1, P1, cont. to end
Row 2: K
Repeat until panel measures 3.5 inches
Bind off on a Row 2

Cable Strip
CO 8 stitches
Rows 1,3,5: Slip st, K6, Slip st (the slipped stitch creates a selvage stitch, which makes it easier to show onto the panels)
Rows 2,4,6: P8
Row 7: Slip st, C6L, Slip st
Row 8: P8
Repeat these 8 rows until the strip measures 13 inches and then bind off

C6L: Slip 3 stitches onto the cable needle and hold in the front, K3 and then K3 from the cable needle

Finishing the wallet
Pin one panel side to the cable strip leaving ~ 1inch at the top that will be used to sew the key chain ring onto the wallet and then sew the side to the cable strip Repeat this with the other panel.

Pin the zipper into place and then sew the zipper onto the bag

With that leftover inch of the cable strip slip the keychain or other desired hook through and then fold over the cable strip and sew it to itself

Optional crochet flower
With the grey yarn and size F hook chain 4
Join with a Sl St to make a ring
Ch1, 5 SC into the ring
Make a Sl st in the ch1 st to join
* 1SC, 2 DC, 1 SC* into each SC stitch, which will make 5 petals, and then fasten off

Sew the flower onto the bag
