Materials: The yarn I used is Sonata by Elann (50 gm skeins, 115 yds per skein). You need two skeins of color A and one of color B. It’s 100% cotton. You need a hook U.S. size E, and a 7” zipper that goes with the color of the yarn.
Since this is tapestry crochet, the piece is worked in rounds instead of rows. You work one side of the foundation chain, then turn the piece and work the other side, in the bottom of the chain loops. After every round it’s joined with a slip stitch and the beginning of the next round starts with ch 1, sc in first st.
Gauge: The gauge is approximate. But if you match my gauge it will be the size of mine. 21 sts = 4” and 11 rows = 2”
Once you make it, you’ll wonder how you did without it. It has so many uses!
