Designed to hold knitting needles and notions, these little zippered pouches can also be used for cosmetics, toiletries, and more! These a quick gift to work up and use simple yet elegant finishing techniques for a polished look.

--SKILL LEVEL - INTERMEDIATE--
These are officially rated as intermediate knitting skill for the use of double pointed needles in the I-cord and the simple intarsia. But do not fear! A video tutorial for the i-cord is available on my website (knitsewhappy.com). This is a great project for trying out color work for the first time - only 15 rows and you’re done!
It is helpful if you have sewn a zipper before, but there are step-by-step instructions with photos to help you along if this is your first zipper or clutch.

--SEWING NOTES--
Heavyweight interfacing is used to give the bag structure, but you can also try using an upholstery weight fabric to eliminate this step. The clutch is size to hold knitting needles, but you can adjust the size to fit your needs. Just be sure to also change the size of your lining fabric and interfacing.

Yarn: 1 ball Knit Picks Simply Cotton in Green Tea Heather, worsted 100% organic cotton; 164 yards/100 grams
Needles: 1 pair straight needles US size 7, 2 double pointed needles US size 7
Notions: yarn needle, hand-sewing needle, all-purpose thread in coordinating colors, 12-inch zipper, pins
Lining Fabric: 2 pieces woven cotton, 6x12.25 inches (fabric shown was purchased at Joann Fabrics)
Zipper Tab Fabric: 2 pieces woven cotton, 3x1.5 inches
Interfacing: heavyweight, 2 pieces 6x12.25 inches

Yarn: 1 ball Loops and Threads in white, worsted 100% acrylic; 1 ball Lion Brand Fisherman’s Wool in natural (very small amount used)
