** Please note** The clutch featured in the photos was made with single crochet through front loop of every row. The floral clutch in the background of the picture used sc flo row, and sc blo row alternatively, as written in the pattern.

This clutch can be crocheted in two to three hours. The star stitch feature rows add texture and interest, and are worth taking the effort to learn.

Easily adapted to individual tastes - for example, single crochet in the front loop of every row. Or the back loop. Or just work a normal single crochet. Each technique will produce a different ribbed look (or no rib at all if you opt for normal single crochet). Add more star stitch, or skip it all together. The choice is yours!

Make a tote bag instead of a clutch by folding your finished rectangle in half rather than thirds, and crocheting a long rectangular handle.

Keep the bag as a simple clutch, or add handles - bamboo, chain for a little bling, or crochet a strap out of remaining yarn.

Change it up to suit yourself!
