Zulia is a flexible pattern that can be used to make either a relaxed vest with lots of drape, or a cozy yet flattering cardigan. Worked from the bottom up in pieces, this cardigan includes set in sleeves. The collar is crocheted separately in one piece utilizing increases and crab stitch; it is then seamed onto the sweater using a simple whipstitch.

I adore this cardigan for two main reasons. First, the unique shape really sets the sweater apart from other cardigans. Second, the drape and sheen given by this yarn allows this sweater to work for spring through winter.

It is constructed with both bust darts and waist shaping for a flattering fit. The pattern has been thoroughly tech edited by a wonderful team and the layout is something to be admired. The schematics included in the pattern make working from this pattern simple and easy.
