If you loved the lace of Zylphia Pilots Her Airship, but either don’t want to tackle an entire sweater or, like me, you just want to play with the lace patterns some more, this cowl is for you!

Worked with less than 1 skein of heavy fingering or sport weight yarn (shown in Bugga! in Karner’s Blue), this is a lovely, fun project, great for gifts or for yourself.

The vintage lace patterns, from Barbara Walker’s Treasury of Knitting Patterns (Arrowhead Lace) and 2nd Treasury of Knitting Patterns (Honeybee Lace, Faggoting), are modified to be worked in the round. Both charts and line by line instructions are provided.

Note that the stitch count per round varies depending on the Honeybee Lace pattern. The Honeybee Lace pattern is created by dropping the previous round’s YOs.

Notions
Yarn needle, waste yarn, 3 stitchmarkers

Skills
Knitting in the round, lace, picot hems, provisional cast on, sewn hem, your choice of Magic Loop, 2 circulars or DPNs.
