A Treasury of Magical Knitting and its sequel, A Second Treasury of Magical Knitting, were published in 2004 and 2005. The books sold like wildfire and I even considered writing a third Treasury, but was diverted by my fascination with new sock architectures and methods, which became in my New Pathways for Sock Knitters series.

Moebius knitting may be my most favorite knitting playground of all. Once you learn the basics (here is my Youtube tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVnTda7F2V4), you can play with this form forever without running out of surprises and delights. It is my favorite subject to teach, because my students soon find themselves feeling like happy children. Moebius knitting is probably easier than knitting a garter stitch scarf.

(Note: Do not fall for the knitting myth that twisting the cast-on edge produces a Moebius. This is totally untrue, as explained on page 12 of the first book and page 9 of the second book. A real Moebius is nothing short of magical.)

Both Treasuries are now out of print, and are being offered on the secondary market for outlandish prices (the original price was $26.95). I sincerely hope you will not spend that kind of money!

Instead, here are the original books in PDF format, exactly as they appeared in print, with all known corrections taken care of. You can store and read the book on your computer or on any digital device you own. (The PDF can be moved to a Kindle, iPad, smart phone, Nook, etc.) You can print out individual pattern pages and put it in your knitting bag. My hope is that the eBook will serve you just as well as the print copies would. If you like, you may print a copy in full and have it spiral-bound.

The eBook will be stored in your Ravelry library permanently, where you can never lose it.
