Overview
Chaord, coined by Dee Hock in his book, Birth of the Chaordic Age, is a combination of the words chaos and order. Chaos nurtures and supports the creative budding of ideas. Order helps those ideas to flower and become fruit. Too much order stifles creativity; too much chaos prevents getting anything finished.

Chaos is messy; it is not pleasing to the eye. Patterns, aka order, are pleasing. So what makes a pattern, and how do we get there without too many rules?

Chaordic Knitting is an ebook that draws together a collection of techniques I use for creative color knitting that uses only one yarn per row. It currently stands at 80 pages and will be close to 100 pages when complete. About 50 pages are techniques and working methods, explained in detail with extensive photographs and step by step instructions. The technique portion of the book is complete. The balance of the book consists of patterns. The five completed and tested patterns are in the current release. Updates of the book will be released as the remaining patterns are finished.

These methods are fabulous for stash busting and using hand spun yarn. It is fun and creative knitting, offering the freedom to make color and stitch choices on every row. Each row becomes an adventure!

Pattern Details
All patterns give detailed instructions for shaping and construction, allowing the knitter to design the chaordic fabric using their chosen yarns while working do-it-yourself (DIY). Many of the patterns also give row-by-row details for possible chaordic work. Several patterns can be used with more than one weight of yarn.
