Jen lives in Somerset, Kate lives in central Scotland. They are separated by distance, but the Cross-Country Knitting project enables them to share their design ideas and collaborate fruitfully across the country. Their brief for volume 2 was to re-size and re-design a favourite adult sweater, creating a pair of nostalgic and classic patterns for girls and boys.

Volume 2 includes the patterns for Wee Bluebells (by Kate) and Wee Bruton (by Jen), together with an essay by Rachel Atkinson, exploring the significance of childhood handknits.
