Lots of people have asked me about gradient spinning since the release of my gradient hand dyed tops range at www.sarastexturecrafts.com, so I thought I would write up some very simple tutorials to give you an idea of how you might spin hand dyed gradients or create your own.

For the initial stages of this series I thought we should look at the very basic types of gradient spinning, then moving on to looking at what sort of projects/garments might work in gradient spun yarn and lastly designing projects and garments around gradient spun yarn.
