Modern Daily Knitting Field Guides are little books that explore the big world of knitting, with patterns and stories to inspire the curious knitter.

While we often knit with the intention of making a cozy, embracing fabric to keep out the cold, there is one kind of knitting that aims for openness, for letting light and air flow freely: lace. We create openness in our knitting by making intentional holes, which in turn form patterns.
