Nestled in the heart of North Devon, the John Arbon Textiles Mill is one of only a handful of small-scale, specialist worsted processing and spinning Mills still operating in the UK. John’s Mill is full of refurbished machinery he has rescued over the years, with some newer additions along the way. As John Arbon Textiles are now in their 17th year they thought it would be fun to create their first ever Annual and offer you a glimpse into this wonderous woolly world! We hope you’ll enjoy delving into it with us…

The Annual pages include some gems – insights into how their mill is run, a spot the difference and word search by the splendid Katie Green, a few of John’s favourite factoids and even some input from John & Juliet’s much loved, characterful old cat – Mr Smoke!

Plus you will find four exclusive patterns designed specifically for their Yarns by Fay Dashper-Hughes, Sonja Bargielowska, Francesca Hughes and Rachel Atkinson. Some of the patterns give two different yarn options – to show the versatility of each design. Each pattern is named after one of John’s trusty and much loved Mill machines. If you love browsing through a magazine with a cuppa and your best-loved biscuits, then you’re in for a treat!
