I knew I had to make this elephant as soon as I saw Stephanie post the pics! It’s adorable and there’s a lot less seaming than other amigurumi I’ve made.
In fact, the ears, belly, and tail were the only things I stitched onto my Heffalump! (I call him that because that’s what he looks like to me before his trunk and ears are made.)
The most difficult parts for me were the decreases in the legs. The stitches are so tight and I had to consciously make an effort to do them as loosely as I could without making big holes in the fabric. And, as I went on to crochet the 3rd and 4th legs, it got harder to do because the other legs were in the way of my hook.
With that said, I would definitely make this patten again! I think I have to make a whole herd, hehe--in a multitude of fun colors!
