I’ve resolved to knit more ‘everyday’ items for myself - classic knits that I know I’ll want to live in. This one certainly fits the bill. I absolutely love everything about it - the colour, the yarn, the fit, the feel. Everything!

The pattern was great to knit, it’s written very clearly and I loved the sunday short rows. The yarn was gorgeous to work with, very soft and weighty, the fabric has a great drape but at this tighter gauge I think it will still hold its shape well. I’m already thinking what colour I would like to knit the next one.

Gauge swatch of 19 sts x 28 rows on 4.5mm needles = 4.5” square (blocked). So I knit the 35.5” to get a 40.5” for a few inches of positive ease

Mods:
knit the garter sections flat then seamed.
knit an extra inch in length for both the body and the sleeves. My row gauge was different so my sleeve mods are as follows…

Sleeve Notes:
With 4mm needles, CO 40
Knit flat in garter stitch for 20 ridges
Change to 4.5mm needles
Cont in St st for 10 rounds
Begin sleeve shaping
