I finally figured out how to get the stripes to be “jogless”. This was also my first attempt at simple cables on the earflap ties. They were easy! I did not like however, how the pattern calls for picking up 70 stitches around the hat and making the ribbing after the other portion…I prefer Susan B. Anderson’s “go team” version where you start with the ribbing and then the hat and pick up for the flaps. I would combine the two patterns next time (Susan B. Anderson’s for the hat and then pick up stitches for these cabled ear flaps) -- too cute! Love the purple color.
