Notes

Sept 24th Needed something to knit that was a little more mindless and a little more portable than a sweater.

October 10th Not much time to knit lately, but these are still getting a few rows done each night…

I keep making stupid mistakes, but I’m fixing what I can without frogging back and leaving the ones I can’t fix as (cough) “design features.” The mistakes are in places where they won’t show, anyway.

I love the Heritage Silk. This is my second pair of socks using this yarn and it knits up beautifully.

Several options for bind off:

bind off one
bind off two - sewn
JSSBO
bind off four & five

October 24th I finished these sometime last week, and I have to say…

… if I had been completely drunk when I made them, I probably would have made fewer mistakes. I mis-crossed an entire row of cables, fudged the join stitch after the heel so I have tiny holes at my ankles, but I wasn’t about to undo sixteen hours of work for socks. Nope, not gonna do it!

They’re still cute, though, and they fit well, so I’m counting this project a so-so success. Pictures to come as soon as I get off my butt to get some.
