Ran out of chenille for the three chenille rugs I had warped for. Decided to resley the 8/4 cotton warp to a denser sett and see how it works for a dish towel.
Because the warp isn’t exactly symmetrical (you can’t see the warp in a chenille rug) I wanted a warp that will distract from that. I’m using white/beige the cotton slub yarn that I used on some of the Ms and Os dishtowels. I think it’s called flake cotton. The Ms and Os towels are really nice and absorbent so I think it will be a good choice. This will be a short project because I think I only have about 1.5 yards left on the warp so I anticipate one towel and maybe a second or a shorter bread cloth.
I remember really liking pebble weave in my very first sampler in weaving class. So I’m revisiting this simple weave structure. The chenille rug was warped with straight draw so I wanted to choose a structure that could be done with that same threading.
