Using a combination of vintage linens and (maybe) handwoven cloth to outfit the bedroom windows of the trailer.
Side windows:
The handwoven cloth is Swedish lace with weft floats on the front side. The warp is Mark’s 22/2 cottolin with stripes of 10/2 FoxFibre brown cotton and the weft is xx/1 linen singles. I think the xx might be 30 but not sure. The only label is a tag--made in Belgium. It’s thinner than the warp (I can tell because I discovered later that I accidentally use one bobbin of the warp thread instead of the correct weft thread), but only slightly thinner.
Back Window:
A vintage linen tablecloth embroidered with red and black cherry blossom design.
Still figuring out how to make this work. I also have a plain white linen as a possible lining, but it may be too heavy.
Edited to add: It doesn’t look like I will be able to use the vintage linen table cloth with the red flowers. I was thinking the hardware would be inside the window and for practical reasons I don’t think that will be possible.
