2 pairs so far that are mostly 2x2 rib. One pair is worsted to bulky with 40 stitches cast on. On this pair I put a couple of crossed cables on the top. One pair is DK to worsted with 52 stitches cast on. They don’t have thumbs--just bind of 8 stitches in one row, then cast on 8 stitches in the next row.

The yarn isn’t super soft or silky. It’s quite wooly--what people are now calling “rustic.” Was spun woolen and the wool was from a ranchers meat sheep--suffolk mostly. The dyeing is variegated from left over Easter Egg dye and done over several years. Between the woolen character and the color variegation, a complicated stitch pattern wouldn’t really be visible and isn’t needed.

Third pair is more than half done. It is really fun to see this Easter egg dyed yarn get used!

11/17
The fifth and last pair of mitts is done, washed, and now drying! The last bit of fine Easter Egg yarn is going to mfuesel for her minimania scarf. An egg sized ball of bulky weight is all that is left.
