Started first sock on the first camping trip with the trailer. Finished first sock on the second camping trip!

The second sock is now done! I like the heel effect. I used an eye of partridge heel with two colors alternating every two rows. A one color heel would have been faster. A heel that was sl1, k1 on every right side row instead of alternating between sl1, k1 and k1, sl1. But I wouldn’t have had the cool slip stitch, checkerboard color effect. I find myself always wanting to play with color, but I don’t really like knitting with more than one ball of yarn!

The photo of the two finished socks makes the tops look extraordinarily skinny. I think it was the tilt of my camera phone. The tops are normal sized ribbing.
