Made this highly spun, merino, chain-plied yarn specifically for socks. I want socks that last so I spun this and plied it more than usual. I think 100% Merino is usually too soft to make lasting socks, but with this tightly twisted and tightly plied yarn maybe that will be improved.

These could be called Hermione’s bullet-proof socks! The tightly spun yarn will be very long wearing. They aren’t thicker than my normal socks, but they are denser. I think my next sock yarn will be a little less tightly spun. I will know more after my first few times of wearing them.
